What Form Will It Take?

The afternoons run from 3:00-5:00pm. We’ll start with brief introduction and one of the leaders might seed a brief question for conversations. We’ll have an opportunity to share news, and if appropriate offer a short prayer for those on our hearts. The remainder of the time will be dedicated to playing board games. We’ll serve cake, hot drinks and squash throughout, and invite the parents to be on a rota to supply cake each week.

Can Anyone Join?

The majority of our board games are aimed at adults, and children seven and above, although if families wish to bring younger children that is okay, as long as they supervise them. We have a mixture of pretty complex games, and relatively straightforward, short games, suitable for mos by an adult though please. We’ll all be playing in the same room, and we have games appropriate for different age levels – including some complex ones for adults.

How Much Is It?

So I need to Bring a Board Game?

We’ve accumulated a good number of games, but if you have a favourite, however, feel free to bring it along. Please bear in mind our time constraints. If there is a game you think we should purchase, let us know, and when we have some money we’ll aim to do so.

Where Is it?

Initially we plan to use Room 5, at Acomb Methodist church, Front Street, Acomb, YO24 3BX. See our map for details…map
