Adult & Family Board Game Afternoons

Board Game Afternoons are for adults and families who enjoy board games – and by that we mean not just the traditional Scrabble and Monopoly, but also the newer more complex board games like Carcassone, Wingspan and Ticket to Ride – and well much newer still…the list goes on and on.

WHAT FORM WILL IT TAKE?

We meet in Room 5 within Acomb Methodist church. The afternoons run from 4:00-6:00pm, which gives us plenty of time to play a very intensive game, or several smaller games. Those attending take turns to bring cake and biscuits and we serve hot and cold drinks throughout.

CAN ANYONE JOIN?

The majority of our board games are aimed at adults, and children seven and above, although if families wish to bring younger children that is okay, as long as they supervise them. We have a mixture of pretty complex games, and relatively straightforward, short games, suitable for most ages.

HOW MUCH IS IT?

We are aiming to make a small donation to the church for the use of the room, and ideally have a surplus over and above this to supply hot drinks and to purchase new games. A freewill offering will be taken with this in mind.

SO I NEED TO BRING A BOARD GAME?

We’ve accumulated a good number of games, but if you have a favourite, however, feel free to bring it along. Please bear in mind our time constraints. If there is a game you think we should purchase, let us know, and when we have some money we’ll aim to do so.

CONTACT US

As we mentioned, it would be really helpful if you could let us know you are coming, so we can cater appropriately. To do so, or for other queries, please contact Andy on (01904)784545 or email using the contact form.
